HIGH HOLY DAY SERVICES

This year's service will be conducted by our spiritual Leader, Hazzan Laurie Bonn, and Cantor Isaac Kriger. A congregation choir under the direction of Liz Kriger will add to the enjoyment. Rabbi Zoref conducted our HHD services for several times in the past. As our temple has grown in membership we expect to have a full house and a record attendance. We are encouraging everyone to attend what is expected to be one of the most inspiring services for this holiday. Tickets will be available and are required for non-members.

SPECIAL SERVICES TO SALUTE OUR NATION AND MILITARY

Congregation Shalom Aleichem honors our nation and its military with a special service on Memorial Day, Veterans Day, July 4th, and other special occasions.  In addition to the regular Sabbath Service we will sing patriotic songs, reading of special prayers and on Veterans Day the service songs are sung.  Veterans are encouraged to wear their uniforms and awards.  All veterans from the community are invited (membership not required).

ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING AND CHANUKAH PARTY

The Board of Directors will be sponsoring their annual membership meeting in conjunction with a great Chanukah Party. The combined activity will be held on the third Friday on December 19th. During the meeting a new slate of officers will be elected to lead the Congregation in 2008. Members will provide a great array of different latkes along with other traditional foods. The Hazzan and Cantor will be leading the Congregation in song and prayer in a special Chanukah Service. Everyone is encouraged to bring their own Chanukah light/candles. Also children are encouraged to attend and will receive a small Chanukah gift. Guest are welcomed and membership in the Congregation is not required.
